Andrea Marongiu is Associate Professor at the University of Modena (Italy). He received the PhD degree in electronic engineering from the University of Bologna, Italy, in 2010. He has been a postdoctoral reserch fellow at the Integrated Systems Laboratory, ETH Zurich, Switzerland, then an assistant professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Bologna.
His research interests focus on programming models and architectures in the domain of heterogeneous multi- and many-core systems on a chip. This includes language, compiler, runtime and architecture support to efficiently address performance, predictability, energy and reliability issues in parallel, embedded systems, as well as HW-SW co-design of accelerator-based MPSoCs.
In this field, he has published more than 100 papers in international peer-reviewed conferences and journals, with more than 1000 citations and an h-index of 19 [Google Scholar]. He has collaborated with several international research institutes and companies.
